Curriculum Design Reference
The Civil Engineering Master’s Study Program curriculum is designed with reference to:
- Vision, Mission of Trisakti University, Postgraduate Program, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, and Master of Civil Engineering Study Program.
- Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 232/U/2000 Regarding Guidelines for Preparing the Higher Education Curriculum and Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes, which provides the following provisions:
- The semester credit system is an education delivery system that uses semester credit units (SKS) to express student study load, lecturer workload, learning experience, and program implementation load;
- A semester is a unit of activity time consisting of 16 to 19 weeks of lectures or other scheduled activities, along with accompanying activities, including 2 to 3 weeks of assessment activities;
- The semester credit unit, hereinafter abbreviated as SKS, is a measure of appreciation for the learning experience gained during one semester through scheduled activities per week of 1 hour of lecture or 2 hours of practicum, or 4 hours of field work, each of which is accompanied by around 1 – 2 hours of structured activities. and around 1 – 2 hours of independent activities;
- The master’s program study load is at least 36 (thirty six) credits and a maximum of 50 (fifty) credits which is scheduled for 4 (four) semesters and can be completed in less than 4 (four) semesters and a maximum of 10 ( ten) semesters after the undergraduate program or equivalent, including the preparation of a thesis.
- Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 232/U/2000 Regarding the Guidelines for Preparing Higher Education Curriculum and Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes, it provides the following provisions:
- The higher education curriculum which is the basis for implementing study programs consists of: (a) Core curriculum; (b) Institutional curriculum.
- The core curriculum for each study program in undergraduate programs, master’s programs, doctoral programs and diploma programs is determined by the Minister.
- The institutional curriculum for each study program in undergraduate programs, master’s programs, doctoral programs and diploma programs is determined by each university.
- Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic Number 045/U/2002 Regarding the Higher Education Core Curriculum, it provides the following provisions:
- The student outcome competencies of a study program consist of: (a) main competencies; (b) supporting competencies; (c) other competencies that are special and related to the main competency.
- Competency elements consist of: (a) personality foundation; (b) mastery of knowledge and skills; (c) creative ability; (d) attitudes and behavior in work according to the level of expertise based on the knowledge and skills mastered; (e) understanding the rules of social life in accordance with the choice of skills in work.
- The core curriculum is a characteristic of main competencies.
- Supporting competencies and other competencies that are specific and related to the main competency of a study program are determined by the institution administering the study program.
- The comparison of equivalent loads in the form of semester credit units between main competencies with supporting competencies and other competencies in the curriculum ranges between 40-80% : 20-40% : 0-30%.
- The Minister of National Education does not determine the core curriculum for each study program as regulated in article 11 paragraph (1) of Decree of the Minister of National Education Number 232/U/2000, and then determined by higher education institutions together with the professional community and graduate users.
